Seriously: Help Philadelphia Flyers set Guinness world record by watching paint dry
Over the next few weeks, many NHL rinks will be prepping for training camp by laying down their ice and painting the lines and various logos for the season. Some teams have season ticket holders help with the painting. The Philadelphia Flyers don't need your help. They just want your eyes.
On Monday, the Flyers are asking fans to show up at Wells Fargo Center to help set a Guinness world record for the "most people to simultaneously watch paint dry."
Yes, this is a real thing.

Help us set a new Guinness Book of World Records for the most people to simultaneously watch paint dry when we paint the lines and logos into the ice at Wells Fargo Center this Monday at 11 a.m.!
Be a part of the preparations for the 2013-14 season and bring your cameras! Fans are welcome to enter from the Fan Zone store on the 11th street side of the Wells Fargo Center
Checking the Guinness Book of World Records site, there doesn't appear to be a listing for this specific record. (Does one person count as a record?) There are records for "Most People Watching TV Underwater," "Most People Dry Bobbing" and "Most People With Spray Painted Hair - Single Location," but nothing about literally watching paint dry.
So if you have a couple of hours to kill on Monday, go watch some dudes and dudettes paint lines and logos on ice and discover what watching the mid-'90s New Jersey Devils was like.
