Buccaneers not interested in Sanchez

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not interested in acquiring New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, according to multiple reports.

The Jets, who are looking to trade cornerback Darrelle Revis, included Sanchez in the negotiations with the Buccaneers, NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk reported Friday. However, the Buccaneers do not want Sanchez.

The Jets want to rid themselves of the struggling Sanchez and his guaranteed $8.25 million salary for this season.

It was assumed that the Jets' Tim Tebow would be part of the deal, but he reportedly is not. Tampa Bay coach Greg Schiano is not sold on Josh Freeman as his starting quarterback, but apparently is not sold on Sanchez or Tebow, either.

If Sanchez is dealt, the Jets would be left with David Garrard, Greg McElroy and Tebow on the quarterback depth chart.
